One of my favorite things to see are different versions of chips from other countries. A lot of Asian markets typically sell the chips here in America. It is always fun to try different flavors and read the names on the bags.

@cosmicsaltillo in Austin, #Texas was a vibe and their tacos are amazing. We ordered the Carnitas, Guajillo Chicken, and the Al Pastor tacos with a side of queso and chips. From their bar I tried the Tepache Margarita. I love a drink with Tajín on the rim. 😋

Great food, drinks, and friendly people. I was able to become friends with the cutest pup ever. We even touched paws for a second. 🤣😆

Someone’s son took me out on a date. 🥰 We went to @divanatlanta which was the perfect place to choose as it was right across the street from where we would be watching the @atlantasymphony.

The service was amazing. Food came out quickly, as we didn’t want to be late to the symphony, and our server was wonderful.

I had the Blackened Verlasso Salmon and my boyfriend ordered the Springer Mtn Saffron Chicken Kabob. For our drinks I had the Dragon’s Tower and he ordered the Smoked Peach Old Fashion.

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. We will be back. 💋

So I tried @showbirdnola for the first time. The picture I got is terrible because I was starving and the food smelled so good my patience was very thin that day to get a perfect shot. Sometimes you just have to say forget the photo and just enjoy the food.

Worth it too. The food was amazing.

I tried their Showbird and Coop Scramble sandwiches and their waffle fries. 🤤😋 I’ll be back.

Starting my morning with fresh kiwi apple juice and banana muffins made from one banana I had left and didn’t want to waste because it’s racist to think things are useless just because it’s black. 👀🤣😝

If you know me then you know I’m always looking for ways to use whatever I have in the kitchen because groceries aren’t cheap and I’m trying to limit my food waste. I think this mini breakfast I prepped for myself was a success. ✨

I found a recipe online from @bakingmischief for “One Banana, One Bowl Small-batch Banana Muffins“ and used what I had in my kitchen. I think I over mixed just a little and could have left it in just a bit longer, but I still think I did alright for my first try.

1 large very ripe banana
¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
1 large egg white
1 tablespoon and 2 teaspoons vegetable oil (didn’t have any on hand so had to use olive oil)
½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
⅛ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
⅓ cup chocolate chips (optional - I obviously didn’t have any on hand)

I recently had a little family day at @fluffyfluffyduluthga where we tried their amazing fluffy pancakes. I also tried tanghulu and I wouldn’t be a juice alcoholic if I didn’t grab a refresher.

Visited @terryblacks_bbq in #Austin, Texas and it was great. A popular place that had a huge crowd of people, but service was extremely fast. They are practically pushing you out the door. lol

I tried the ribs, some of their brisket, corn, and mac and cheese. I liked everything but their corn. (Too sweet for me.) I would visit again. 😋

Let’s play the game of my greens froze a little (because everything in the back of my fridge freezes), the best by date was yesterday but I tasted it and it “tastes fine to me,” and why did I buy these carrots game…aka how I make my late night salads.

I’m obviously not feeding anyone this and next time your greens get ruined just throw them into a smoothie or soup.

Somewhere throughout this chaos I cut myself trying to shred those baby carrots. (Remind me to buy a new first aid kit for the kitchen.)

Still a good salad for my digestive goals. #IYKYK 🤣

Me and bread dough just don’t get along, but like any real relationship I tried at it again and decided to make 🍕. Not only did I attempt to make pizza dough but I tried making pizza in a cast iron skillet because I like a good challenge.

I’ll give it a 5/10 because after nervously checking to see if it was still edible I ate the entire pizza by myself, but I know I can do better. 🤣

I saw a trick where you could heat the pan up and/or cook the dough a bit at the bottom before putting it into the oven. Although I think it pretty much worked I did end up with two different textures of dough because the bottom cooked first. Open to any advice as I knead it. (See what I did there.) 😉

I only leave the house for food. Lol My mama called me and asked if I wanted to get some food at @fqfest and of course I said yes because I wouldn’t be Lunch with @a.classy if I didn’t take a lunch whenever I wanted to. 🤣

Here’s what I ate/drank:

-Crawfish pasta
-Lynchburg Lemonade cocktail
-Pulled Pork sandwich
-Hurricane from @patobriens (it was nice and strong)
-Crawfish pie (if you know me you know I left the house just for this)
-Candied pecans (gave half to my mama and she ate them before pulling off)

Took myself out on a date last night and went to @livetruefood last night. They updated their menu and so I was forced to try something new. Lol

I had their southwest bison sausage pizza.

Here’s what’s included on the pizza: Force of Nature regenerative grass-fed bison sausage, charred scallion salsa verde, mozzarella, cotija, jalapeño, organic DiNapoli tomato sauce, Vital Farms pasture-raised fried egg

It wasn’t bad. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an egg on my pizza before. I still don’t see the charm in it. The egg does nothing for me. It’s just messy. 🤣

I give it a 5/10. I miss my old pizza. I got attached.

I sat at the bar so of course I ordered a drink. I got a peach mojito (don q rum, peach giffard, mint, lime) and it was strong just how I like it.

A nice end to a long Monday.

True Food Kitchen gets so much of my money. 🤣

There’s nothing like eating good while also eating healthy. I grabbed a friend for dinner and we both shared a chicken sausage pizza and a burrito bowl (gluten free) together.

For #cocktails I had the True Story (gray whale gin, chateau aloe, snap pea, pineapple, lemon), and my friend had the Spicy Pineapple Margarita (casamigos reposado, fresh jalapeños, lime).

I went home with a peach lemonade because you all know I can’t go anywhere without getting some juice. 😆
